What year where you born?  1954

What is your gender?  Female

How would you describe your nationality/ethnic/cultural orgin?  WASP

Where do you live?  Boston, MA

Are you married?  Yes.

Do you have children? No.

If you work. What is your profession? or What do you do? I am the author of “Becoming One: A Story Of Triumph Over Multiple Personality Disorder”. I blog now at thirdofalifetime(dot)com and can be found on Twitter at twitter(dot)com/SarahEOlson2009. Besides building out my blog, I am in the early stages of reprinting “Becoming One”, and working on the follow up book.

What is your educational background? B.A. in political science, UCLA; certified litigation paralegal, UCLA.

Do you have pets? Yes, currently three cats. Since I was a small child, cats have provided a source of reality and unconditional love, at times when I most needed both. They literally saved my life many times when I was suicidal, because I refused to do to them (abandon them) what had been done to me.

A little about me….

“Becoming One” was first published in 1997, detailing my therapy process to what was at that time complete integration of all known alters. In 1998, with a lot of super-talented help from volunteers, I created The Survivors Forum on CompuServe. A few years later, CompuServe was bought by AOL, and AOL ended the forum. About the same time, my father died. It was a one-two punch which made my integration fall apart, and took me five long years to come back from. My father was not my abuser, but his death created internal chaos anyway.

I am now re-integrated back to three core alters who work together pretty seamlessly. If I stayed this way forever, it would not be a problem, but I’ve tasted “oneness”, and believe I am my strongest, most resilient self when fully integrated. So that is my journey now.
